Hello, my name is Krystal Bates and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of California and Florida. I deeply honor each person's individuality and unique life experiences. For this reason, my treatment method is tailored to fit the needs of each individual I work with.
My approach
My therapeutic approach always begins through a multicultural and trauma-informed lens. Some of the theoretical approaches I pull from include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy.
My focus
I have worked with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds throughout my career. However, I specialize in treating ambitious women in their mid-20s and 30s struggling with anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, relationships, women’s issues, and multicultural concerns.
My communication style
The feedback I have received from clients is that they find me to be warm, empathetic, laidback and light-hearted. My clients have also told me that they appreciate my honest, direct, yet compassionate communication style. When working with me, you can always expect a respectful, open, and non-judgmental setting.
My goals for you
I believe each individual is the expert on their own life, and I view our working relationship as a collaborative partnership. I find that some individuals begin therapy with very clear goals in mind. However, others may need a little guidance in identifying specific goals to work towards during the therapeutic process. In this case, I will help you to identify goals that will leave you feeling empowered once they are achieved.
