My approach
I utilize art therapy and DBT which accesses your untapped creativity to clear blocks, give inspiration, generate insight, reduce anxiety, and foster joy. Whenever I apply my credentials, the ATR enhances my therapeutic aspect with clients.
My focus
Mood disorder, self-esteem, Trauma and PTSD, Bipolar, depression, family conflict, coping skills, Anxiety, Grief, peer relationship, Self-awareness.
My communication style
Actively listen to you, create a safe place for being able to express the uncomfortable emotions and thoughts. Ask probing questions! Provide guidance and support. Analyze your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to gain insight into your challenges. Develop coping strategies. Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My journey to mental healthcare
What I learned over the years is that there is a dire need for passionate, culturally competent, and informed mental health providers. My personal life experience with family members leads me to understand how a professional counselor can make a positive impact in motivating and empowering a client to start engaging in bettering their own life. Curiosity in human condition and development has always been my passion. I have a curious mind and desire to help others to improve their life. My work is rewarding and gives me joy to see improvement in my client's life.
