My focus

I have worked with children and teens experiencing suicidal ideation, severe behaviors, and hospitalization. I have also worked with adults facing PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, grief, infidelity, stress, marital concerns, and severe mental illness including psychosis.

My approach

I use primarily cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused, narrative, trauma-informed, and a little of everything else.

My communication style

I make sure that the client feels comfortable talking to me, and we spend some time building rapport. Clients will talk about difficult topics, and the environment is calming to invite clients to be open and honest.

My journey to mental healthcare

In high school, I had a friend who was suicidal and self-harming. I supported her through these times, and as I watched her symptoms decrease over time, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, and I enjoy helping people along their path.

My goals for you

I speak about goal setting in the first session. We collaboratively create a couple of goals and then work towards achieving them. I will occasionally do a retrospection and check-in to remind clients how far they have come and to encourage them to keep going with their mental health recovery.

During an initial session, we will review paperwork that was signed, complete a comprehensive assessment, create goals, and schedule sessions.
