Hello, My name is Halima Eid, LPCC #13443. I have over 4+ years of experience working with various issues including relationship/marriage conflicts, eating disorders, transgenerational trauma, racial trauma, homelessness, familial conflicts, being a first-generation college student, religious and cultural barriers, etc.
My approach
I work with individuals from a holistic approach, taking into account all aspects of the individual's life (social, relational, emotional, mental, physical, cultural, and environmental) that may impact their overall wellness. My counseling approach also includes emotion-focused therapy, where clients learn how to regulate and cope with negative emotions in healthier ways and create more positive narratives for themselves.
My focus
I have experience working with various eating disorders and individuals who struggle with body dysmorphia. I also have experience working with individuals who struggle with racial trauma, cultural/identity issues, and gender roles. I have worked with couples and provided pre-marital counseling and family therapy.
My communication style
Clients can expect a direct but compassionate approach when working with me. I do my best to create a safe and trusting environment for all of my clients.
