My focus

I work with adults who are managing depression, trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and much more. Whether you are working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring your personal goals, I will work collaboratively with you to accomplish those goals.

My approach

I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. I also focus on how past trauma has shaped your life, and how to process and navigate through those daily problems. Based on your individual needs, I incorporate mindfulness and other coping tools to improve your functioning.

My communication style

I practice open communication with you. I provide a nonjudgmental space where you can share your thoughts and feelings. I will be there to actively listen and provide feedback when appropriate.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began with the desire to provide support to individuals who faced various barriers and challenges. I see the resilience in children, youth, and adults. I enjoy seeing individuals accomplish their goals and live better lives by having the tools necessary.

My goals for you

Therapy is a partnership between the therapist and the individual. We will work together to set short and long-term goals. We will continue to check in about goals and create a new plan if needed. Therapy is an ongoing process with highs and lows. Regardless, I will be here to provide support for you to the best of my ability.

Our first session

Our first session will consist of us getting to know each other as you will share about your background. We will discuss the current stressors that brought you to therapy and the goals you want to achieve. We will build our relationship as we continue to meet. The first session can make you feel nervous which is completely normal.
