My communication style

My mind organizes itself in way that values structure and congruent communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active and comprehensive listening. I am able to shift to slow the pace down when you may be sharing challenging issues. You can expect me to be calm and patient.

My journey to mental healthcare

I had the support of those who believed in my capabilities. From conducting cognitive behavioral therapy interventions with victims of crime, sexual assault, and domestic violence to providing field-based and Telehealth mental health services to diverse clients and families of multiethnic and racial communities.

My goals for you

I see therapy as a partnership and joint effort. Together, we’ll set goals that matter to you—whether that’s improving relationships, increasing self-efficacy, or pursuing personal growth to create the change you want to see in your life. We’ll build reflective capacity to engage in meaningful treatment and to help manage your health.

Our first session

I will be asking questions to hear from you what brought you into therapy as well as to make sure I understand you accurately. I will go over limits to confidentiality and practice trauma-informed communication to affirm the extent to which you choose to share relevant information to determine appropriate course of treatment.
