Hi there, I'm Fizura!

In life, we sometimes experience losses, trauma, and unexpected changes, putting a pause in our normal functioning. Unchecked, these things can lead down paths that we can’t control. If you feel people around you don’t understand what you are going through, feel incapacitated due to a loss, feel isolated, anxious due to a traumatic experience, struggling to keep your relationships or feel burned out from caring for others in your family or your job, I can help navigate your healing journey. It is normal that we try to evade difficult feelings due to the fear we might get stuck there. My job is to help validate those feelings, facilitate your discovery of answers within you, find new ways of coping and being, and hopefully, find meaning in your experiences so you can feel more grounded. I’m offering compassionate guidance and understanding of deeply emotional experiences, undivided attention, and unconditional acceptance of your feelings and your experiences. My experiences as a therapist have been working with various individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, psychosis, PTSD, substance abuse, and dual diagnoses, as well as overcoming temporary life challenges such as marital discord, parenting issues, grief, and many more. I also have years of experience working with issues of the elderly and their families, LBGTQ, and those from various ethnic origins. Although at times, therapy may bring up issues from the past that are difficult to deal with, I provide a safe space in which to express and process these difficult emotions to help you live a more positive and healthier life. I employ various modalities to help my clients achieve their goals, including psychodynamic modalities, attachment-based therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectic behavior therapy, acceptance therapy, family therapy, behavior therapy, and mindfulness. I encourage my clients to live healthy lives by balancing their physical, emotional, spiritual, personal, family, and work.
