I help people who feel stuck and want to get unstuck. Sometimes a strategy that used to work no longer does, or we feel disappointed with how things are going and want to make a change. I assist with social, emotional, and academic challenges, helping you identify and hone your strengths while working effectively with any obstacles.
My focus
I typically work with clients to build coping strategies for anxiety, depression, attention and learning challenges, and executive functioning problems. I also focus on identity development, cultural identity issues, divorce, parenting support, blended families, improving relationships, and adjusting to life-changing events.
My approach
My approach builds on positives and frames negatives as indicators of behaviors that provide opportunities for change. I take a holistic view weighing the social and emotional impact of issues, consider the role of the entire family, and draw from neuropsychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and developmental psychology.
