My approach
I use CBT, Psychodynamics, Solution Focused, Couples Therapy, and I tailor my approach to what the individual client requires.
My focus
I work with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief and loss, individual and couples.
My communication style
I want a client to feel safe and comfortable in the room with me. I create a friendly environment where people can feel comfortable to open up and process what they are struggling with.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always enjoyed helping people to feel better about themselves, decades before I ever became a therapist. I grew up with a parent who was a psychiatrist and was drawn to how they helped people to process their struggles. I have always known I would enter this field and truly enjoy it.
My goals for you
I discuss goals in the first session, then have clients think about it over the next week and together we establish concrete goals and set steps to achieve them.
My first session with you
In the first session with a client I like t make sure we are a good match, I want them to know that this is a safe space, get to know them, why they came to therapy, what their goals are, and some history and background.
