My name is Vickie Keller and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Sacramento, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with individuals struggling with challenges in their life. I use various therapeutic approaches to help my clients on their wellness journey.
My approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered. My clients and I collaborate on therapy goals and therapeutic modalities based on their needs. Each client is an individual. I understand that the client is the expert of their lives. My purpose is to assist my clients in achieving their goals.
My focus
I work with individuals who are looking to better understand themselves. As well as navigate through life challenges. Helping my clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-esteem build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and empower them to make their desired changes in life
My communication style
I listen to my clients, engage honestly, and provide a safe space with a nonjudgmental environment. I also assign homework to provide my clients opportunity to apply skills in their everyday life
My journey to mental healthcare
My favorite part of being a therapist is when my client no longer needs me. This means that I have helped them achieve their goals and become a better version of themselves. Being a part of someone’s healing journey is such an honor for me.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting with clients is collaborative. This starts by getting to know my clients and building trusting therapeutic relationships. We work together to set goals and track your progress.
My first session with you
Our first session we will spend the majority of time talking about you and what brought you to therapy. This will include me asking questions to better understand you and your feelings. The first session is the start of us building a therapeutic relationship.
