I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with all types of relational issues. Most of my experience has been gained through treating individuals, couples, and families.
My approach
Individually I work with clients to help them cope and gain skills to use. I use acceptance and commitment therapy to help individuals identify stuck points and use mindfulness skills to diffuse them. With couples, I utilize methods to give couples the ability to communicate and turn toward each other instead of away. With families, I use a systems approach to help the family interact a communicate their needs.
My focus
I am willing to see individuals and couples who suffer from Bipolar Disorder, Coping Skills, Depression, Divorce, Dual Diagnosis, Grief, Job Stress, LGBTQIA+, Life Transitions, Mood Disorders, Panic Attacks, Racial Identity, Relationship Issues, Self-esteem, Self-Harming, Stress, Substance Use, Suicidal Ideation, Transgender Issues, Trauma, and PTSD.
My communication style
I believe in clear, direct communication tailored to each client's needs. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, my goal is to create a safe space for open dialogue. I listen actively and provide practical guidance to help clients express themselves effectively and strengthen their relationships.
My journey to mental healthcare
I gained clinical experience for licensure from 06/2016 at Hope Counseling Center in Anaheim, CA, and from 04/2021 at Alternative Options Counseling Center in Huntington Beach, CA.
My goals for you
My goals for you will always be based on your goals for yourself. I will use my clinical skills to help you on your journey. It has always been my viewpoint that by giving you skills and working on life-long issues, we can get you to a place where you will not need me anymore.
My first session with you
My first session with you will look a lot like information gathering. I ask questions geared toward gaining a better understanding of you so we can create a plan for you together.
