Hi, My name is Myra Tyler, I am licensed as a Psychiatric Social Worker. My approach to therapy is that I'm present with you, I engage openly and honestly. My focus is on my clients as I work with them to understand themselves better and explore solutions that will help them improve the quality of their life.
My approach
My approach is individual therapy, behavioral cognitive therapy, reality-based therapy, problem-solving therapy. My goal is to help people understand the "why of things" and explore the best possible solutions to improve outcomes.
My focus
I currently work with individuals with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and who may be struggling with drug addictions. I am strong in working with people who find it difficult to cope with life and together we work on the best techniques to improve their lives.
My communication style
I provide a relaxing atmosphere where people can feel comfortable being who they are. No need to impress me with struggling to choose the right words or ways to express themselves. I am already impressed with where you are now.
My journey to mental healthcare
What attracted me to becoming a therapist was my own struggles. I have had my share of therapy beginning as a teen. My experience was great, and it changed my life. I believe in therapy, recovery, and healing is possible, with some commitment and work you can to find a sense of calmness and piece.
My goals for you
I believe client set their own goal as they know what they want to achieve. I simply work with the client to reach their goals.
My first session with you
The first session is a get to know one another session. Talk about the reason the client reached out and what they want to achieve. Finally, the question would be, are we a good fit?
