Janet Moore, LCSW is a person who loves working with people of all ages and opening them up to the many possibilities that await them. She focuses her life on learning about and loving her family. Through all the ups and downs of life, her passion for seeking the truth has resulted in the happiness that a healthy body, mind, and oneness of soul provide. She enjoys meditation, dancing, music, and spending time with family and friends
My approach
Janet's approach is short-term solution-focused and is implemented with respect and compassion. She utilizes a cognitive behavioral modal with a behavioral activation component along with a body-mind-soul integrative approach that speaks to the whole person.
My focus
I work well with most age groups and recently have been working with women, couples, and families. Also, work well with men and military issues.
My communication style
A warm welcoming communication style that is direct and honest. I also have a great sense of humor.
My journey to mental healthcare
The Journey of becoming a therapist was not intentional. I got into this field only after a lifelong journey of self-discovery. Through pain, grief, and many detours together with my family, friends, and nature as teachers, I have become aware of my true self and discovered the joy of wanting to share what I have learned and hoping this will help others.
My goals for you
I prefer the client to set their own goals and I assist them in clarifying and achieving them.
My first session with you
We have a conversation getting to know one another and if we feel that we are a good fit for one another then we would proceed with an assessment.
