Hello. My name is Jessica Taylor and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have more than 5 years of experience working with adults in county, private, and hospital settings.
My approach
My approach to providing therapy is majority person-centered. Although the majority is client-centered I do use techniques and interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused, strength-based, and solution-focused.
My focus
I typically work with adults with mild to moderate mental health diagnoses. My primary have worked with adults with anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and trauma.
My communication style
I create a safe and open environment for clients to discuss sensitive topics.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because in college I saw the need for students as well as the community to have a safe place to process and discuss sensitive topics. I continue to do this work because I enjoy seeing the progress clients make in reaching their goals as well as improving their mental health.
My goals for you
The approach I use for goal setting is I allow the clients to choose what they would like to work on and what they would like to accomplish in treatment.
My first session with you
During the first session, I will introduce myself, complete an intake assessment, and develop treatment goals with the client.
