My journey to mental healthcare

After teaching for many years, I transitioned to counseling because I wanted to help people navigate life's challenges more deeply. I bring the same dedication to understanding and supporting growth that I developed as an educator into my therapeutic work.

I help you define specific, achievable goals and break them into manageable milestones. Together we identify potential obstacles and develop strategies to overcome them. We create an action plan with clear next steps, establish accountability, and regularly review progress, adjusting as needed.

Our first session

We'll start with a warm welcome and discussion of confidentiality. I'll gather background information and explore your concerns and goals for therapy. You'll learn about my approach and have time to ask questions. Together we'll develop an initial treatment plan and determine if we're a good fit.
