I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) working out of the Central Valley in California. I utilize a compassionate approach to therapy through the use of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Person-Centered Therapy. I work to empower clients and help them better manage Anxiety, OCD, Depression, and other life stressors.
My approach
My primary approach is creating a supportive space where clients can feel safe and heard. I understand that every client has their own goals and needs that will influence the therapy I provide. To help clients gain skills in managing and resolving their symptoms I utilize an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach.
My focus
I have worked extensively with adults, adolescents, and with the LGBTQ+ Community. The conditions I have the most experience and training in are Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Childhood Trauma, Body Image issues, ADHD, and Life Transitions.
My communication style
My intention is to always provide an authentic, compassionate, and supportive environment for my clients. My aim is to help you feel safe and heard throughout our sessions.
My journey to mental healthcare
My own experience in understanding and resolving my own mental health challenges led me to believe in the power of therapy. Combined with my lifelong values of authenticity, compassion, and Learning, led me to pursue Therapy as a profession. Through my work with people with disabilities, the homeless population, the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant populations, I discovered that being of support to others is the most fulfilling career choice for me.
My goals for you
I like to collaborate with clients in creating goals for treatment. I first want to know what is most important in your life, what your biggest challenges are, and what you hope to get out of therapy. From there we can establish goals for our sessions together.
My first session with you
During the first session, I'd like to explain to you how therapy works, who I am as a clinician, and most importantly, I want to learn about you. I like to ensure that we create a supportive relationship and from there, we start by exploring and making sense of what is currently troubling you.
