As a therapist specializing in addiction, trauma, and stress, I help individuals and families heal from difficult experiences and lead happier, more functional lives. With a diverse range of therapeutic modalities at my disposal, I tailor my approach to each client's unique situation and needs.
My approach
I believe there is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy. That's why I draw upon a variety of modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Transpersonal Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Depth Psychology, Cognitive Therapy of Substance Abuse, Existential Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and EMDR, which is my specialty. This allows me to adapt to the specific challenges and experiences of each individual I work with.
My focus
My clients include children, adults, and the families of individuals struggling with addiction. I work with them to develop healthier perceptions of themselves and their experiences, repair and strengthen their relationships, and build support systems they can rely on. Through our work together, my goal is to guide them towards greater self-realization and improved functioning in their relationships and daily lives.
My communication style
I engage with my clients using a direct but compassionate approach, adapting my communication to suit each person's needs. Through active listening and thoughtful questions, I create a safe space for open, honest dialogue. My goal is to foster a collaborative relationship built on trust and understanding.
My journey to mental healthcare
My path to mental healthcare has been shaped by my extensive education and experience. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology, building upon my previous training as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have served as the clinical director of six detox & residential facilities, including LifeSync Malibu, which I founded as the first addiction residential program of its kind. This hands-on experience has deepened my understanding of the challenges individuals and families face in overcoming addiction and trauma.
My goals for you
My primary goal for you is to facilitate healing and growth. I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where you can process your experiences, develop new coping skills, and work towards the life you desire. Whether you are struggling with addiction, trauma, stress, or other challenges, I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey towards greater wellbeing and fulfillment.
My first session with you
During a first session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can freely share their thoughts and feelings. I begin by conducting a thorough assessment to understand the client's background, the issues they are facing, and their goals for therapy. This assessment helps me tailor the therapeutic approach to the client's specific needs, build rapport, and create a safe space for exploration and healing. Clients can expect to be listened to with empathy and without judgment, and together we work towards developing a strong therapeutic relationship that supports their growth and well-being.
