Hello, my name is Earl Villorente. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I provide individual therapy via telehealth. It is my goal to provide a safe space for us to work together to reduce symptoms and promote positive change to help you heal and enjoy a meaningful life.
My approach
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address symptoms by working on unhealthy thinking and behavior patterns - and create or improve healthy ones. I also use therapeutic lenses of strength-based, client-centered, and solution-focused to help you identify and achieve your goals. I truly believe that all of us have strengths to pull from in order to make those changes. It is my duty to give you the tools and knowledge to be successful with our journey to helping you enjoy life to the fullest.
My focus
I am most comfortable working with teens and adults dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and difficulty managing work, school, and/or life transitions. Collaboratively, my aim is to help you process why you are having those difficulties and guide you through it, as well as help you create healthy thinking and behavior habits that will enable you to enjoy life and relationships better.
My communication style
I am calm, warm, and accepting. I want my clients to feel safe to freely express themselves, so that they are truly heard and understood.
My journey to mental healthcare
At a young age, I had a close friend who have committed suicide who showed signs but I totally missed. This led me to want to understand the mystery of psychology so I can understand individuals more and how I can help. This led me to being an LCSW on a quest to help as many clients who are mentally and emotionally struggling.
My goals for you
My goal for you is to have some clarity on what outcomes you would like to come out of therapy. I then will guide you to create or improve healthy thinking and behavior habits that will minimize symptoms you may be having. These goals are going to be coming from you and we are going to utilize strengths that you already have.
My first session with you
Before identifying our goals or treatment plan, I’d like to know what brought you to therapy, as well as provide an assessment of the problems or symptoms you are having.
