Hi there, I'm Marie!

I'm a Christian, spiritually-centered counselor who provides mental health, grief, and relationship counseling for adults, teens, and children. I work with individuals, families, and groups to resolve conflict and meet your unique needs. I look forward to working together with you.

My focus

If you're struggling with anxious thoughts, negative self-talk, or self-doubt, we can work together to manage anxiety, life transitions, or self-esteem issues. We can work through trauma, build coping skills, or explore your personal goals. I'll create a plan for growth that feels empowering and obtainable.

My approach

I use person-centered, cognitive behavioral, IBT, and motivational interviewing therapy. CBT and IBT help you identify, reshape, and replace negative self-talk with positive thoughts and actions. This hands-on approach gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors based on your unique needs.

My communication style

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, trusting, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with your wants and needs in front. You can expect me to be calm, patient, and respectful in addressing your concerns.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to become a provider was shaped by experiencing counselors who lacked compassion and empathy. I strive to be the opposite. I pride myself on being a good listener, empathetic, compassionate, and encouraging. I can also be direct and provide the support required to maintain your overall health and well-being.

I'll work with you to establish realistic, attainable goals that can be measured. We can develop them together and discuss them during our sessions. We can adapt our plan at any time to ensure it's always meaningful and relevant. I'm here to provide the support and tools you need to move closer to where you want to be.
