Hi there, I'm Kristian!

My approach to therapy is client-centered and holistic. I focus on emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety, OCD, sex/relationship therapy, among others.

My focus

The clients that I have worked with are very diverse in terms of ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religion. I am very comfortable and at ease in adapting to a client's identity.

My approach

My main therapeutic approaches are dialectical behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention therapy, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and family systems therapy.

When it comes to communication style, I am assertive and direct. Of course, I communicate with compassion and empathy.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always found a lot of meaning and fulfillment in helping others. Achieving and maintaining mental wellness is one of the most meaningful ways for others to lead healthier and happier lives. That is the reason I chose to become a therapist.

My goals for you

I work from a client-centered perspective. With that in mind, I help my clients gain insight into what they want to achieve and the steps necessary to get them there.

Our first session

During our first session, I focus on understanding the unwanted experiences my client is going through or the experiences they want to achieve. I also want clients to get to know me and ask questions. It is in this first session that we begin to build a therapeutic alliance.
