Hi there, I'm Amanda!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a client-centered therapist who loves what I do. I believe it is an honor to walk alongside individuals in their journeys. I view myself as a guide, as it is not my journey. My role is to assist in navigating individuals toward gaining insight and awareness into empowered choices and decisions.

My focus

I work with adults seeking change and looking to create more balance in their lives. I support individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, difficult life transitions, and trauma. My goal is to create normalcy in finding support during times when you need clarity.

My approach

I combine cognitive behavioral therapy with mindfulness practices to help you build a strong sense of self and empowerment. We work together to build support and learn self-awareness to recognize patterns. In this awareness, you can create new opportunities for growth to support your authentic journey.

My communication style

My goal is that you feel validated. I strive to support you and validate your feelings and experiences as real. I wish to create a safe space to make connections and learn tools to decrease the intensity of your discomfort. Seeking therapy is vulnerable and brave, and I hope to encourage that by normalizing the process.

My journey to mental healthcare

Initially, working with children drove me toward social work. I began in the foster care system, then moved to adoptions. From there, I worked in a nonprofit agency providing casework and counseling, where my true career began in working with adults in a clinical setting. I have been providing counseling to adults ever since.

My goals for you

I provide an unbiased perspective that offers alternative ways of experiencing your situations. In a safe space to process and make connections, you are able to disrupt the patterns you are stuck in. I encourage you to connect with your authentic self and provide tools to increase your confidence and intuitive skills.

My goal is to offer you time to share what brings you to seek out therapy. I want to understand your perspective and what your goals and priorities are. I want to normalize this experience and offer a gentle approach to beginning your therapy.
