Hi there, I'm Adriaka!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana, and I assist individuals with effectively managing anxiety, stress, anger, depression, and drug/alcohol abuse. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths to overcome the things in life that challenge you.

My focus

I assist individuals with effectively managing anxiety, stress, anger, depression, and addiction. I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking change for the better. My clients are eager to improve, but oftentimes don't yet have the tools and/or motivation needed to move in a positive direction of change in thought and behavior.

My approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a goal-oriented talk therapy approach that allows individuals to effectively manage problems by identifying and recognizing how to implement a positive change in thought and behavior.

My communication style

I create a therapeutic bond by being friendly, warm, honest, and welcoming to make each session a comfortable and safe environment. I remain sensitive to why you sought help and build rapport by being patient, allowing you time to become comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. However, life took an unexpected turn, as I navigated having a family member with mental health challenges, which led me to another helping profession, mental health counseling. I find immense satisfaction in helping clients discover their strengths and achieve their personal growth.

My goals for you

In collaboration with you, I help create a roadmap for progress by establishing goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Together, we will do the work to help you achieve a healthy life balance.

In our first session, we start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This helps me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
