I assist individuals with effectively managing anxiety, stress, anger, depression, and substance use. I believe you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths to overcome life's challenges. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to a healthy life balance.

My focus

I work with individuals seeking change for the better who are eager to improve but don't yet have the tools or motivation needed to move forward. My clients often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about their current situation and need guidance in processing thoughts and feelings to become their best selves.

My approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a goal-oriented approach that helps you manage problems by recognizing how to implement positive changes in thought and behavior. I also use Motivational Interviewing, asking open-ended questions and using reflective listening to help you explore thoughts and feelings that identify your motivation for change.

My communication style

I create a therapeutic bond by being friendly, warm, honest, and welcoming to make each session a comfortable and safe environment. I remain sensitive to why you sought help and build rapport by being patient, allowing you time to become comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. However, navigating a family member's mental health challenges led me to counseling. I find immense satisfaction in helping clients discover their strengths and achieve personal growth. When you're passionate about what you do, work becomes a fulfilling journey.

In collaboration with you, I help create a roadmap for progress by establishing goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Together, we will do the work to help you achieve a healthy life balance.
