I love my job because I have the pleasure of meeting awesome people from all walks of life. I look forward to meeting you. My therapeutic approach begins with getting acquainted with clients.

My focus

I have had experience with all ages of clients, but my primary focus has been on children and adolescents. Although I've had extensive experience with the Autism Spectrum, I have also helped individuals with mood regulation, anxiety, depression, grief, and other related co-existing emotional struggles.

My approach to therapy begins with getting acquainted with clients. Besides using an approach that fits their therapeutic goals, I like to use a client's individual strengths and potential as a base for therapeutic growth.

My communication style

I always work to provide a comfortable and fun environment for my clients. The goal is to eliminate any stressful or tense climate in a session.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was raised in a helping atmosphere. We were taught to care for others and give of ourselves. As I began my pursuit of a career, I began as a teacher, but was always attracted to the children who appeared to have struggles with emotional control and behavior.

I strive to take my clients' input in establishing goals. Their input can often be gained through empathic questioning.

Our first session

This is a time to begin getting to know each other. Setting clients at ease can involve reciprocal questioning and can involve play, depending on the age and preferences of the individual.
