I personalize treatment using cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-commitment, mindfulness, humanistic, emotion-focused, and psychodynamic models.

My journey to mental healthcare

I found passion in genuine human relationships and learned to address my own fears and desires for meaning through therapy. My relationships with clients have been a source of meaningfulness. Guiding clients to greater courage, freedom, self-compassion, resilience, and wisdom has been like being a character in a collection of great novels.

My goals for you

I guide clients to identify what daily life will be like when they have reached their goals: how they will experience it through thought, emotion, and behavior. Goal attainment must be practical, feasible, and noticeable through a significant change in how comfortably life is experienced from moment to moment.

Our first session

You will describe why therapy was initiated and the relevant backstory. We will highlight symptoms, patterns of suffering and hope, and goals. I will review family and personal history, life events, medical and behavioral health history, life goals and barriers, cultural experience, and aspirations for personal meaning.
