As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my communication style emphasizes empathy, clarity, and collaboration. I practice active listening to build trust and gain a deeper understanding of my patients' perspectives.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a mental health provider started with my interest in psychology during college. I was drawn to understanding human behavior and wanted to help others. Volunteering at a mental health clinic exposed me to the challenges people face with anxiety, depression, and trauma, reinforcing my commitment to this path.

My goals for you

I ensure my patients feel heard. I will take time to listen carefully to your concerns, assess your symptoms, and examine possible contributors, answer questions, and provide you with the support you need for informed decision-making and optimal mental health. My goal is to identify your strengths and empower you.

Our first session

During their first session, patients should expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can openly discuss their concerns. They will experience anticipatory empathy, active listening, and clear communication about the process ahead. Patients will feel involved in their treatment planning, while I will value their input in the process.
