My communication style

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm, patient, and supportive.

My journey to mental healthcare

Much like Maslow and Rogers, I find that I tend to believe that most people have an innate drive to grow and improve themselves (in whatever way they think is best). Being able to be a part of that journey, even briefly, is extremely fulfilling. I enjoy helping others figure out their "right path" in life and how best they can stick to it.

My goals for you

I use a problem-solving approach to help you gain new skills and tools that help with whatever problems you are currently experiencing. I couple this with curiosity, compassion, and empathy to help you decide what skills and tools might work best for you. You are steering this ship right alongside me!

Our first session

The first session is a lot of questions! I want to get to know you, what brings you in, and some about your history. We will also talk about your specific goals for treatment, what you hope to get out of this process, and how I might be able to help you achieve that.
