My communication style

My communication style is curious, compassionate, exploratory, and gently challenging. I love asking questions, especially ones that help my clients go beyond the "content" and into their emotions. I don't shy away from challenging my clients, but always do so with respect, care, and thoughtfulness.

My journey to mental healthcare

I entered the profession out of compassion and understanding of how challenging it can be to deal with mental health issues. I have been on the other side as a patient and know the immense healing potential therapy has. It's deeply meaningful to me to be a part of others' healing, and particularly to give back to stigmatized communities.

My goals for you

I will work with you to figure out what your personal goals are for treatment: do you want to feel less anxious, more fulfilled, or have clarity on a relationship? Do you want a space to work through challenges from the past to feel unburdened? Let's explore the goals and set a treatment plan together that works for you.

Our first session

I'll get a broad understanding of you and your history: your childhood, mental health history, family, school and work history, your friends and relationships. It might feel like I'm jumping around a lot, but gaining a foundational understanding is so helpful for me as your therapist. We'll also talk about goals and how we can achieve them.
