My communication style

Over the years, I have found that my calm demeanor and casual conversational style of treatment work well with adults of any age. My goal is to create an environment where people feel at ease and respected. Regardless of the client's need, my aim is to meet clients where they are in their journey, identify areas in which they’d like to improve.

My journey to mental healthcare

After years in an unfulfilling career as a factory worker, I took the opportunity to go back to school and get my master’s degree in social work, a profession that I felt would best position me to help those in need. After 10 years in the medical social work setting, I decided that I wanted to take what I loved most about that.

My goals for you

My number one priority when setting goals with clients is to simply listen to their story. Developing trust and rapport is paramount. After hearing what they have to say, we work together to figure out what their goals are. It is 100 % a collaborative effort. We can explore approaches that they are comfortable with to help them reach their goals.

Our first session

What you can expect during our first session together is for us to spend some time talking and familiarizing ourselves with one another. The most important aspect of therapy is establishing rapport and trust between the therapist and the client. Without this, it is difficult to make progress towards your goals.
