My communication style

My communication style is open and interactive. My goal is to provide a safe environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. My clients have described me as empathetic, patient, and easygoing. If you are working through something challenging, you can expect me to be present and responsive.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey toward counseling began as a child with a native sense of empathy and discernment. In my teens, my desire to help others culminated in serving at church and on the mission field. I have been able to work with many individuals striving to move past old hurts and present pain, discovering hope and peace.

My goals for you

We will work together to create a focus that provides insight for building self-concept, clarifying relational issues, or managing emotional pain. Your goals may evolve, and we can adapt our time to ensure that it continues to move toward greater health, stability, and safety.

Our first session

Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. I'll do my best to answer your questions and to create a safe counseling environment. It's completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment.
