Hi there, I'm Dawn!
I grew up in a Latino family, surrounded by military members, and spent summers with my mom on communes in Oregon. This gave me a wide understanding of humankind. I am a clinical supervisor/counselor whose focus includes trauma, healing the inner child, changing survival skills to thrive skills, inner critic ninja skills, and freedom from shame.
My focus
I work with all clients, including the LGBTQIA+ community, teens, and those in open and non-monogamous relationships. I have extensive experience with trauma, mental health, and substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, anger management, relationship issues, and parenting.
My approach
I choose models based on what fits best for you, so I favor the Person-Centered approach; I believe in your ability to feel what works for you. I also use CBT to decrease anxiety and stress, and Psychodynamic for a deeper understanding. My approach is for your own personal empowerment and moves towards your own joy.
