Hi there, I'm Niyabinghi!

I have worked with individuals, families, and couples online, in the community, and in private practice. I typically use modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, skills training, grief counseling, mindfulness practices, and motivational interviewing.

My focus

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, career challenges, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, anger, attachment, and ADHD.

My approach

My therapy approach is warm and interactive. I believe in creating space for open and honest dialogue without judgment at the pace of the client. I respect that not everyone is yet ready for change, and it is not my job to push change.

My communication style

I believe in providing a respectful, open, and compassionate place of self-exploration. Working with me feels safe and expansive. I am nonjudgmental and create an environment that is validating and inviting.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist after suffering through my childhood trauma. It was through healing myself that I gained the passion for healing others. My driving force is to be the person I needed when I was a kid.

I typically work with the client to create goals that are achievable and necessary for growth and healing. I work with clients to create goals that clients want and are willing to work towards.

Our first session

During a first session, clients should expect to do an overview of issues and symptoms as well as discuss goal setting, therapy frequencies, and modalities that will benefit the client.
