My communication style

I tend to be thorough, so expect a lot of questions! I am also empathetic, as I understand the toll that mental health issues take on a person. Direct and clear communication is my overall style when discussing overall care and progress.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked in primary care for several years and found myself focusing on people's mental health concerns. I discovered that I really enjoyed talking to patients, and psychiatry allows me to do that and get to know them well.

My goals for you

I strive to encourage patients to set reasonable and clear goals.

Our first session

During an initial visit, I will ask a battery of questions to help me better understand you as a patient. I leave time for questions, but most patients find that I have gotten a great deal of information from my questions.
