Hi there, I'm Nicky!

I have training in anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma. I use a strength-based approach to therapy to help clients identify and recognize their resilience and foster healthy coping strategies to improve their lives. Clients will learn practical coping mechanisms from the first session to manage their issue(s).

My focus

My client focus is adults aged twenty through geriatric. I am comfortable working with clients who have a diagnosis of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, or trauma. Therapy is a journey based on safety, the therapeutic rapport between the provider and the client, and treatment modalities.

My approach

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Brain Spotting to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals.

My communication style

My attribute styles are warm, affirming, and empowering. Goals are discussed at the first session and revisited at every meeting. Clients are provided with a copy of their goals and goal sheets to use.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a social worker and mental health provider to help alleviate the suffering of people who have mental and emotional problems. My therapy motto is: 'Give me a piece of your mind, and I'll give you peace of mind.'

My goals for you

The first session will focus on psychoeducation of different treatment modalities that I offer, psychiatric assessment, establishing therapeutic rapport with the client, and discussing and providing coping mechanisms for their presenting issues.
