Hi there, I'm Pamela!

I love working with individuals of all ages experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, life stressors, and adjustment disorders. I also have experience with trauma, PTSD, autism, and personality disorders. I believe therapy should be tailored for each person, which often means incorporating different techniques into treatment.

I work most often with patients experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, life stressors, and adjustment disorders from separation and divorce to life changes, but I also have experience with trauma, PTSD, autism, and personality disorders.

My approach

I collaborate with you to set goals so you feel invested in your treatment. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and often incorporate positive psychology, narrative therapy, exposure therapy, and mindfulness. These tools and concepts provide practical support for managing symptoms and creating lasting change.

My communication style

Working with me is interactive and collaborative. I believe being a good listener is important, but I'm also solution-focused and goal-oriented. Most people are looking for help with something specific and want to feel they're making progress, getting help, and being heard.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became interested in being a therapist way back in high school. I loved and still do love the idea of helping others. I believe the mind is a powerful instrument, and therapists can help transform people's thoughts and feelings to provide healing.

My goals for you

After the initial intake appointment, or even by the end of the initial appointment, goals are formulated and reassessed throughout therapy.

During a first session with me, clients can expect to share about themselves in fairly great detail. I typically ask about their lives from birth to present to move fluidly from past to present as needed in treatment.
