I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Virginia and South Carolina. I am a former teacher who worked with the regular and special education environments. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of the Cumberlands.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with you. My approach to counseling is eclectic, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my primary theoretical framework. I like to work with clients who may have issues with anxiety, depression, and anger.

Welcome. I am a licensed clinical social worker holding licenses in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina. I have been in practice for 43 years, with specialties in general mental health and behavioral health problems and challenges. This includes depression, anxiety, adjustment, mood, relationship, and marital problems and concerns.

I have lived a long and colorful life. I've made good and bad choices. I have 22+ years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I can be both blunt and gentle as appropriate. My life's work can be summed up in three words: "offering people hope".
