My journey to mental healthcare

The journey to becoming a provider starts with a bachelor's degree, followed by a master's degree, and concludes with licensing, credentialing, and enrollment with insurance payers. Steps include earning a four-year bachelor's degree, completing 3000 hours of student practice, passing the licensing exam, and then beginning to practice with clients.

My goals for you

Goal setting starts by understanding the client's motivations and desired future, then collaboratively using a framework like SMART to make goals concrete. Break larger goals into smaller milestones, track progress with data, and maintain client ownership by using open-ended questions and building accountability through regular check-ins.

Our first session

In the first therapy session, clients can expect to go over introductions, confidentiality, and build rapport. The therapist will ask questions about what brought the client in, history, goals, explain their approach, and what therapy will look like. This is a chance to build a connection and determine if you and the therapist are a good fit.
