I strive to provide a secure base where my clients can re-process past traumas, explore new interpersonal strategies, and gain confidence in their ability to make the changes they believe will improve their quality of life.

My journey to mental healthcare

I took a job at a residential treatment center on a friend's recommendation. I quickly found that providing safety and compassion for those in crisis gives me an abundance of fulfillment and satisfaction. I believe there is nothing more powerful than a therapeutic alliance when someone is suffering and asking for help.

My goals for you

Initially, I believe goal setting is most effective when clients create realistic and achievable goals that provide early success and establish a baseline of confidence and progress.

Our first session

Our first session will be an opportunity for us to establish our therapeutic alliance. I am prepared with an abundance of assessment questions that will help me begin to formulate a case formulation and treatment focus. However, I am also comfortable listening and following the lead of clients who are more self-directed.
