I specialize in working with adolescents, but I'm experienced with people of all ages. My most important goal is to learn how each client experiences the world and how to relieve distress and optimize joy.

My focus

I predominantly work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harming, and suicidal ideation. I'm comfortable collaborating with those experiencing depression or anxiety to find what affords relief and how to get unstuck.

My approach

I focus on brain function, mindset, and identifying thoughts that stand in the way of your ability to be your best self. I try to see the world through your eyes and join you in embracing your own power and unique strengths.

My communication style

My priority is to create a safe environment where you feel understood and honored. I don't judge, but rather truly work to enter your world and mindset. The therapeutic alliance is the number one agent of change and is a principal focus of my approach.

My journey to mental healthcare

I transitioned to social work to take a comprehensive approach to mental health, recognizing that each individual has a community, family, and life circumstances in constant interplay with the psyche. I continue to be fascinated by the bravery and determination in each of my clients.

My goals for you

I collaborate with you to set goals that make sense and provide a balance of validation and change. I'm careful to establish measured goals and mindful of setting you up to succeed. Goal discussions are client-driven, but I guide the topic toward creativity and open-mindedness.

Our first session

I always start with an initial consult that I call a meet and greet. I believe you should have the opportunity to sit with different therapists to see if you feel comfortable. If you feel like I'm a match, we'll set up an appointment for a more in-depth assessment.
