Hi, I'm Ron Perales, and I became a therapist because, as a child, I was profoundly helped by a therapist. I found new ways of seeing my problems and rediscovered hope. My life changed, and I experienced wellness while regaining hope in hopeless situations.
My approach
I'm a client-centered therapist and I focus on the individuals needs in my work
My focus
I see individuals, couples, families, and minors aged 13-17. I specialize in treating Trauma, anxiety, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, depression, divorce, domestic violence, family conflict, grief, life transitions, parenting, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harming, sexual addiction, sexual abuse, stress, substance use, religious trauma, and PTSD.
My communication style
I listen with empathy and without judging. I aim to create a safe space where you feel supported in sharing your experiences. I ask clarifying questions to deeply understand your perspective. Through collaborative dialogue, I help you reframe challenges, rediscover your inner strengths, and find renewed hope on your path to wellness.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was motivated to enter the mental healthcare field because of my own transformative experience with therapy as a child. A therapist helped me reframe my problems, find hope, and experience positive change and wellness, even when situations felt hopeless. This profoundly impacted my life and set me on the path to becoming a therapist myself.
My goals for you
I will help you get through these difficult times in a safe, supported, and nonjudgmental way. My goal is for you to experience the kind of change, restored hope, and wellness that I found through therapy, no matter how challenging your current situation may feel.
My first session with you
Will be focused on hearing what you need, identifying your goals, and determining an action plan to accomplish your needs.
