Hi there, I'm Vicki!

I have an MFT license in CA. I have been working with individual adults, adolescents, families, and couples for over 30 years. I am an eclectic therapist who draws from a wide range of theories, whichever one or combination would be most helpful in the resolution of the issues at hand. I specialize in helping you sort out your thinking.

My approach

I draw from a wide variety of theories to help with whatever is most effective for the individual client in resolving the issues at hand. I am well-versed in multiple approaches. Besides, you wouldn't take your car to a mechanic who only uses a hammer, right?

My communication style

I work with my clientele in a respectful, compassionate manner. Confrontations and suggestions are done supportively, with a client's best interest and goals in mind, and in a way they can hear and respond to. I believe the client is the expert on their life and maintains a role as equals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was a Pre-Vet major and could not handle it when animals get hurt. Not a great Vet. I left Vet school and met my mentor in the first class I took at a new university. It was Psyc 100, and I took EVERY course he offered. I love psychology as a field and have been going on strong ever since.

My goals for you

I work cooperatively with clients to formulate goals that are meaningful to them and work with them in measuring progress toward these goals and in modifying them as necessary.
