My communication style

Clients can expect a non-judgmental space to openly process their emotions and thoughts. I am warm, casual, and relaxed in my approach. After meeting with me, I want my clients to feel like they were with a helpful friend who could really understand them and help them untangle complicated thoughts and emotions.

My journey to mental healthcare

I love to help individuals create the life they want. I see people get caught up with the 'shoulds' of life and how much suffering that causes. I normalize difficulties of life and provide support through them to help my clients come through to the other side with tools and self-empowerment.

My goals for you

In the first session, I always ask my client what their goal is for therapy. My approach is client-centered. I will provide education on what to realistically expect from therapy.

Our first session

I will acknowledge the awkwardness of the first meeting. It takes some time to develop comfort and trust so I honor that process. I will ask clients about hopes for therapy and what they would like to focus on. I will discuss my therapeutic process and what they can expect from sessions with me.
