My name is Anita Prasad-Aguilera. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Fresno, California. I am providing therapy statewide via Telehealth. I work with adults of all ages specializing in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions.
My approach
My approach to therapy is to consider the needs of each individual. I will provide support, guidance, and structure, motivating you to find solutions that encourage healing and growth. I will utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as, techniques from Psychodynamic, Exposure, Grief, and Supportive therapies.
My focus
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults whose struggles are keeping them from the life they want. I am offering you a safe place to talk, a space to heal, and strategies to cope with the difficult side of life. I will work with you as you navigate stressful situations, foster healthy connections, and work through past trauma.
My communication style
My communication style is open, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I will be present to listen to you, the expert on the narrative of your life.
My journey to mental healthcare
What I have witnessed through the years is that the human spirit is resilient, being stuck is just a moment in time, and hardships do not need to define who you are as a person or the life you lead.
My goals for you
Together we will discover the goals which will help define how we spend our time. This will provide us with a way to identify what is working for you in the therapeutic process.
My first session with you
During the first session, we will discuss what has been hard for you lately. I will ask questions and gather information as we make our initial connection. I will be open to any questions you may have about the process.
