Hello, I am a bilingual Vietnamese/English licensed clinical social worker in California with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, anger management, relationship issues, substance abuse, parenting problems, special needs, career challenges, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
My approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered, recognizing that clients are the experts in their own lives and should determine the direction and depth of therapy. I utilize a variety of modalities, incorporating best practices from Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Behavior Modification, Mindfulness and Relaxation, Reality-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Short-term Problem Solving, and Psychoeducation for individuals aged eight and up.
My focus
I work with individuals, couples, and families. In individual therapy, I partner with clients to utilize their strengths in addressing challenges and achieving goals. I consider all aspects of a person's life that impact their well-being, including physical health, support systems, work or school environment, and spirituality.
My communication style
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable environment for my clients. In couple therapy, I guide partners to work together in gaining insight into the factors contributing to their feelings and problems. We develop strategies to address root causes, improve communication, build empathy and respect, and strengthen connection and intimacy.

My goal is to help clients identify and challenge irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that hold them back, freeing them to experience positive change. I believe that with hope and courage, people can take the first step towards transformation. I am here to support and guide you on that journey.

I will listen to your story, gather relevant information, and work with you to define your therapeutic goals.
