Hi there, I'm Shelly!

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a heart for the lost and hurting. I am here to help people of all ages take charge of their mental health symptoms and navigate life’s challenges. I help people find their way back to happiness, guide them in healing their broken hearts, and honor who my clients are and their abilities to live their desired lives. I have treated people from 5 to 75 years old with various diagnoses in individual, family, and group counseling sessions. I believe I was called to do this work, and I consider it a privilege to come alongside my clients to pursue emotional well-being. I utilize a strength-based and trauma-informed care approach to help my clients reach their therapeutic goals. I believe the research states that two-thirds of adults have experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience and over 45% of adults have experienced at least one potentially traumatic event. I collaborate with my clients to develop an effective treatment plan designed to improve the client’s quality of life, alleviate symptoms, and improve productivity and function. Research shows that the therapeutic alliance is the most crucial element in successful treatment, and as such, I work hard to build a relationship based on trust, respect, and support.
