My approach

In therapy, you will bring up the issues that are most salient to you each session, and we will integrate that into your larger goals for therapy, helping you to understand your problematic emotions and reactions more clearly and determine and develop coping mechanisms.

My communication style

My communication style is compassionate, non-judgmental, patient and honest, with a focus on creating a supportive space in which clients feel comfortable discussing difficult topics.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have had a love of people since I was a child, and wanted to get into a profession where I can help others .

My goals for you

I help patients reach their goals by first spending time listening and understanding them, and then gently helping them to see their patterns and develop skills to change them. We may also discuss lifestyle practices which can support mental health. Homework may be given if clients would like it.

Our first session

In the first session, I will get to know what brought you to therapy and discuss your symptoms, as well as other important areas of your life, including relationships, health concerns, job functioning, school functioning, drug and alcohol use, childhood family patterns and problematic childhood events. We will discuss your goals for therapy.
