Hey there! My name is DeAnna and I am an LCSW. I approach therapy through a social worker's lens where I see you as a whole person with many moving parts that impact your mental health and well-being. My focus and areas of specialty are teens, young adults, and family treatment. I make my greatest effort for clients to play an active role, understand and be a part of their treatment from start to finish.
My approach
I like to truly develop an alliance with my clients in order to implement trauma-focused treatment most effectively. I have worked with TF-CBT, DBT, Problem-Solving Therapy, and attachment-focused treatment.
My focus
I have been assisting teens, families, and young adults navigate difficult and debilitating mental illnesses. I have been a telehealth therapist since 2020 and also serve patients in a healthcare setting.
My communication style
I am empathetic and caring and I like to discuss what clients' expectations are from treatment in order to ensure I am able to challenge growth at appropriate times. Working with me is a very open and honest conversation and relatable ways to use and adjust tools to fit your individual situation.
My journey to mental healthcare
I initially began my journey with a passion for social services and people! I enjoy helping people navigate tough situations and finding support in community, family, and therapy. As I became more versed in resources and complex needs, I put my energy into individual support through one-on-one and family therapy. I love to see clients meet their goals, gain confidence and build skills to become their best selves.
My goals for you
I love to collaborate and work with clients and use their own language and ideas to set goals. I want clients' goals to be meaningful and motivating to the client themselves.
My first session with you
Clients should expect to be able to ask questions about the process and their treatment, to come as they are, and be able to share their true selves and needs.
