My focus

I work well with adults and young adults who struggle to fit themselves into a society that wants to suppress different parts of us, including and especially people of color, Asian Americans, 2nd-generation Americans, and anyone who identifies as queer, non-binary, gender expansive, and/or transgender.

My approach

I approach every situation with curiosity and care, to help you see possibilities and choices for yourself. I have been trained in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, among other frameworks, and I use whatever combination best supports empowerment and healing.

My communication style

I prioritize supportive, authentic communication, and my natural curiosity helps to guide an exploration of the issues and barriers. My style is a dynamic blend of patience, validation, levity and depth, to help you start growing in the direction you choose.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into therapy started out with the lived experience of struggling to transition into adulthood. Helping teens and young adults through the same process has constantly reinforced my belief in the possibility of change and the power of bearing witness to it.

My goals for you

You steer the vessel and I am a willing first-mate. Whether the goal is pursuing a career or creative endeavor, discovering yourself, or improving relationships, I will look out for potential roadblocks and keep us on track. We will adapt the plan and route along the way as life keeps life-ing.

Our first session

Our first session will be a space for me to start understanding your story—where you came from and where you want to go. It’s completely normal to be nervous at first. You will guide the pace, and I will follow your lead and support you every step of the way.
