I am curious about you and where you are, how you got here and where you want to go. So at first, I ask a lot of questions to attempt to understand and know you. I want to see you and know you. I want to help you discover your voice and how to use your voice effectively. When unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior are uncovered, we address them

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a counselor because of having counseling in a very difficult time in my life. My counselor was kind and understanding and helped me see myself and helped my find my voice. I was in college, planning to become a teacher. He gently questioned my decision, which allowed me to discover my true passion - helping others find their voice.

My goals for you

My goal is to listen without judgement while you share your life and needs. Once we discover what patterns need to be addressed, I suggest different ideas, ways of thinking and doing for you to practice in your life. We will practice them first together. In our sessions, we will talk about what works and doesn't work, make revisions as needed.

Our first session

Our first session will be a time for me to get to know you, and for me to share my approach to counseling. It is my hope to help you begin to be at ease as you share how you want your life to be changed and/or enriched by counseling.
