Hi there, I'm Brittany!

My name is Burt. I'm a play therapist (Registered Play Therapist Candidate) with credentials as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in S.C. I offer in-person services for children, adolescents, parents, and families. I enjoy working with neurodivergence and anxiety.

My focus

I love to work with parents who are struggling with children with behavioral issues, defiance, anxiety, perfectionism, and stress in the family system. I enjoy working with kids on coping skills for distress intolerance, emotional regulation, and ways to identify their needs, wants, and feelings.

My approach

I offer specialized services in CCPT and CBT-play for play therapy with families, children, and parents, as well as TF-CBT for trauma.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked previously for a shelter that aided in helping survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I have provided trauma treatment and training at this agency, I worked for a group private practice and a community engagement center where we focused on resources for children within a school district, and I have also worked in school based.
